A Simple game for toddlers

A Simple game for toddlers

Create games becomes more challenging when you try to create a game that can play the young. And the youngest player, enjoyed the challenge. I was trying to think of a simple card game that could play my three-year-old grandson. I've been blocked.

Then, as a group of Americans sitting and talking Saturday afternoon, in the living room a friend, someone noticed the twelve coasters on the coffee table. There were six drawings of sea on the roller coaster, fish and seahorses and waves, and each drawing or model has been on a pair of roller coaster.

If someone asked my grandson to find the corresponding pairs, and he began to do so. It reminded me of playing cards, Concentration. And who gave me the seed of an idea for a simple card game for toddlers.

The concentration is essentially a memory game. When return you a seven, you try to remember where the seven was that Sue returned more than five minutes ago. But toddlers have not yet developed the skills of memory needed to do this. So I decided that in my new game, cards that are face-up flipping remain for the rest of the game. You have to remember where the cards are found because they are always there for you to see.

For playing cards, I could use the bridge just as you do for Concentration, but that could be quite overwhelming for toddlers. So, I started with only two combinations of the same color, hearts and diamonds. And because the face cards would be unfamiliar to toddlers, I used only the Aces through dozens.

To play this game seat, players around the table, the cards face down in four rows with five cards of each line. You find yourself with a rectangle of four by five cards. Then relay at the beginning play with a player randomly selected and go clockwise around the table.

Your turn, you flip on two cards and find the pairs. You can use the cards that you just capoté and maps that have been capotés in previous turn. If you find a pair, take it. Take as many times as you can find. Then your turn ends. Not switch the cards face down.

Keep playing until all cards have been matched and taken. Then, each player has sound cards. The player with the most cards wins. You can change the game with two different costumes stained hearts and the Queen of spades. This would be a little more confusing for a toddler, but still quite simple.

Or you could keep to heart and diamonds, but use the Aces through Kings. You must show a toddler cards face before the game and explain how to match these maps. When your toddler has mastered the game from the beginning, try increasing the number of cards using the Aces by eight all four combinations.

Finally, you can use all the 52 cards. This, of course, will ultimately reduce the original game, Concentration. But this will last for a few years.
