Purchased this soon after seeng my daughter mesmerized with it at a mall a couple years ago. Track is interchangeable generally entertaining. It can be folded more than little obstacles. I would have enjoyed a lot as a little boy. My two girls (24) enjoyed watching it final year and attempting to catch the automobiles, but hadn't been overly-engaged in re-developing tracks at the time.
A couple people noted the motors shed power over time. Ours did the similar, and we had been about to permanently retire the toy, but I took apart the automobiles (2 little phillips screws- one particular hidden in battery compartment to eliminate outside of auto, and two extra to get rid of motor shroud) to reveal the drive-side back wheel shaft is knurled to the edge of the shaft housing and is susceptible to picking up hairs and carpet lint, creating it more resistive to turning over time. A 10 minute clean-up produced shaft straightforward to turn restored power to new (pull off gear-side wheel by holding wheel firmly and twisting/pulling the gear-side wheel, compact needle-nose pliers or perhaps a toothpick or stick-pin will ease the job).
Searching forward to playing with it again now! Hope my children do too :)
My 4 yr old had gotten this for a birthday present. She just loves putting together all the numerous track layouts. It is so simple to snap all of the tracks together, and they are so flexible, that she tries to drape the tracks down the front of the couch. It comes with two tough SUV automobiles.
CONS: The only issue we had with the cars, is there are little round rubber treads that go more than each of the wheels. These tend to come off, and if stretched out the vehicles will not honestly function on the tracks. When calling the organization they said they will send way more rubber treads out to me, so it ought to be an issue with these. Due to the fact they can come off quite simple, I would watch with smaller children around who may put these into their mouths.
I wonder why they just didn't construct treads onto the rotating tires.
Other than the wheels, the item seems to be durable and enjoyable for my child.
