My son is pretty substantially addicted to Pokemon something at the moment. I purchased these cards for his birthday and he loves them. There was truly a excellent range (taking into consideration the website mentioned there may possibly be dupes) - particularly for the low price. I do not pretty "get" the point of the card game myself, but my son enjoys playing with his good friends. As far as "educational value" - I don't give some thought to this an educational game, so challenging to place a rank on that. If you play the game the way it's supposed to be played, though, it truly needs rather a bit of reading and standard math (adding scores, and so on.) Can get fairly strategic, also. I assume that most individuals who decide to purchase these know that usually if you purchase a pack of 5 of them wrapped in cellophane from Target or wherever that you are paying about a buck a card - ridiculous if you ask me - but my 6 year old loves them - and they are awesome rewards for him completing chores or homework. What you are ordering right here are 100 new cards - not wrapped in cellophane - but they came in a really good plastic carrying case - which I hadn't anticipated - and my son can't wait till he earns all 100 cards so he can have the case also. There are duplicates which I would expect - but for the cost - about 10 cents a card - oh well - also do not expect too a great number of high value cards - but there are a couple of and as soon as again for the cost I say oh well.
