Product Description

Editorial Review
With touches of canasta, rummy, and poker, this card game could easily become a Friday-night family favorite. The object of the game is to get a "sequence," meaning a row of five poker-like chips on the playing mat. The vinyl mat itself (approximately 28 by 32 inches) shows rows of face-up playing cards. Players place their "crowning" chips on top of the card pictures, and can set up sequences by using careful strategizing and knowing which Sequence cards to keep and discard. Since forethought, luck, and back-up plans are the keys to winning this game, it is probably too sophisticated for children under 7 years old. (But young ones can team up with adults.) The attractive mat and stacks of colorful chips add aesthetic appeal for elders and children alike. --Gail Hudson

Consumer Reviews

Properly worth the additional capital for this game format. Bought a closable travelling soap dish for the cards, and far better Ziploc® bags for the chips - and throw anything into the tube. Having read some comments about the flexible board curling gave some hesitation for going this route. This was solved by rolling the board with the printing on the outside, so that when the board is unrolled the all-natural temporary edge curl is downwards. The only achievable negative is the tube is not handy for travelling or storage

I did not develop up with this game, but I wish I did. It is a great family members game and it's wonderful to play with good friends after dinner. The top element is you don't will need to already know how to play. You can learn this game in the four minutes it takes to set up the board and shuffle the cards. Our youngsters play it, and their Grandmother loves it also.
Get the major tube version. It is well worth the investment. I't less difficult to see and the texture of the board means the chips do not move about substantially if the table gets bumped. Yet another superior thing is games don't go on forever, a game could possibly go for 30 minutes, much more or much less, so we'll get about 3 games in when we play.
Although the game is not complicated, it is full of choices and lends itself to strategy. It really is not just a random issue who wins. The children want to have vision and assume ahead when they play. Thinking in patterns is also valuable and trying to time plays is also critical. One particular final benefit, is that the children have by no means fought more than the play or outcome of this game.
