Client Evaluations

My 3-year-old was initially rather excited about this toy, but the newness wore off quickly.
Pros:
- Lets kids learn about the method of generating factors in a "factory" line
- Entertaining, brilliant colors: comes with 6 modest cans of play-dough
- Moving conveyor belt adds some interest
Cons:
- Quite tough to clean out all of the excess play-dough that is left in the toy just after use
- The "stamper wheel" shape selector is developed in such a way that the youngster can not see what shape he's attempting to choose on the wheel. The image gets covered up by the plastic wheel holder, so they not only cannot see what shape is chosen, but it is challenging to tell if it's even lined up appropriately to stamp correctly on the assembly line.
- This toy came with the most ridiculous "security" packaging I have EVER seen on any toy. It took about 20 minutes to unpack and get it prepared for play (cut ties, install batteries, and so on).
- When the initial new excitement and understanding process wears off, this toy appears to move in slow motion. The conveyor belt should have adjustable speeds for when the youngster gets proficient at the course of action.
Overall:
I would not invest in this toy once again. My kid was bored with it after 1 week. I consider the notion is cool, but the execution is disappointing.

When I put this together, installed batteries (two "C", not included!) and set it up for my small guys, I was underwhelmed. The batteries move the conveyor belt - whoopie. It has a single press which tends to make a bead of Play-Doh come out, where you cut it into pieces that go onto the belt. The belt carries it beneath a stamper - option of two stamping wheels, every with eight pictures - and then to another cutter, prior to falling into a little bin at the end. The six colored circles you can see in the picture are spots that hold modest tubs of Play-Doh (included! though it doesn't say so on the package) - so even though it looks like they may be additional shaping tools/toys, they are not.
What I underestimated, although, was how considerably enjoyable Play-Doh is, in itself. My boys (nearly three and almost 5) have not had a lot exposure to Play-Doh prior to, and so the first time I got this out, they played with it continuously for 3 hours. That's correct - 3 HOURS. I was playing with them, and I was bored with it in about 15 minutes - hence the review title - appear at it with a child's eyes - they see it as alot more entertaining than an adult does!
One difficulty with anything Play-Doh is the color - two minutes with a number of tubs open, and you will never ever have a pure color again. Oh properly. The colors in this set are vibrant and appealing, or they had been for a though just before obtaining hopelessly blended. This set also comes with a mat, some thing to put down to preserve your table clean, but it tore quite effortlessly.
I will let my boys use this on the deck, so Play-Doh doesn't get ground into the carpet. They are enjoying it - which is, just after all, way more significant than what I think.
